"Miralles"
Enric Miralles (1955-2000) is considered a key figure in contemporary architecture. The documentary, written by Sara Mesa and narrated by Pep Ambròs, seeks to portray the man and his complexity: a story built through variations across his architectures, where the narrator searches for him and evokes him within his spaces, crossing the threshold between death and life.
Maria Mauti
Born in Milan in 1974, she is an Italian documentary director. She began in 2003 with productions about music, opera, and dance for Sky’s Classica HD platform. As a director and author, she has made documentaries about Daniel Barenboim, Carolyn Carlson, Pina Bausch, Bill T. Jones (selected at the American Dance Festival), Alicia Alonso of the National Ballet of Cuba, Meredith Monk, and many others. She has collaborated with institutions such as La Scala in Milan, Teatro La Fenice and the Venice Biennale, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, the Auditori de Música, and the MAXXI Museum in Rome.
Currently, her new feature film is MIRALLES, about the architect Enric Miralles, which premiered at DOKLeipzig (Germany), Ji.hlava IDFF (Czech Republic), the Málaga Festival (Spain), and DOCSBarcelona (Spain). She is a professor at the Estab and Elisava universities in Barcelona. She made her first opera direction with Bellini’s Norma at the Sferisterio, as part of the Macerata Opera Festival, and has produced a film with actress Giulia Lazzarini presented at the Rome Film Festival.
In 2026, she has been commissioned to direct Donizetti’s opera L’Elisir d’Amore with the Accademia at Teatro alla Scala in Milan and is currently writing her new film project based on a novel by writer Oriana Fallaci.
Carme Ribas Seix
She graduated in Architecture from the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) in 1980 and earned a diploma in Landscape Architecture from the same institution in 1985. Her professional career has been strongly linked to public space and to social and sustainable architecture.
In 1985, she began collaborating with Pere Joan Ravetllat, with whom she founded the firm Ravetllat-Ribas Arquitectes, from which she has developed projects in housing, public facilities, and urban spaces.
Throughout her career, she has been the author of emblematic projects such as the rehabilitation of the Vallparadís stream in Terrassa, the García Fària seafront promenade in Barcelona, the renovation of the Sant Antoni Market, and the URV campus in Tortosa. Her work has been recognized with several architecture awards, including the FAD Awards and the Girona Architecture Awards.
In academia, she has been a professor of Architectural Design at ETSAB since 1987 and has participated in several international teaching programs. She has also been an editor and contributor to specialized magazines such as Quaderns, DPA, and El Croquis.
