4th Edition of the Barcelona Architecture Exhibition / Opening at Fort Pienc

As part of the travelling exhibition of the 4th Edition of the Barcelona Architecture Exhibition through the Network of Libraries of the Diputació de Barcelona — and specifically at the Fort Pienc – Ana María Moix Library in the Eixample district — an inaugural talk will be held, organized by the library itself, followed by the official opening event, including a guided visit to the exhibition to discover the district’s most notable projects.

The talk will take the form of a roundtable discussion titled Cohousing in Barcelona: living in community, another way of life in the big city, featuring the participation of architects Carles Baiges (Lacol Studio and resident of La Borda), César Vivas (Vivas Arquitectes Studio), and Jordi Mitjans (Arqbag Studio), authors of several cooperative housing projects in Barcelona, along with Tomoko Sakamoto, resident of the La Chalmeta cooperative. The session will be moderated by David Lorente, co-editor of the book Cohabitatge a Barcelona (Actar, Barcelona City Council, 2023). Prior registration is required.

The session is organized by the Fort Pienc – Ana María Moix Library and the Centre Obert d’Arquitectura.
