The presentation is part of the events commemorating the Year of Emili Porta and will be led by the author of the book, Màrius Rubiralta, who will offer an in-depth look at the career and legacy of this prominent architect from Berga.
The Year of Emili Porta began in September 2024, marking the centenary of his appointment as the municipal architect of Berga. This anniversary provides an exceptional opportunity to rediscover his life and work, as well as to highlight his contribution to the architectural heritage and urban landscape of the city.
From the Central Counties Branch of the COAC, we wish to reaffirm our commitment to promoting this valuable book and supporting the activities organized by the Berguedà County Archive, with the aim of bringing the figure of Emili Porta to a wider audience.
Emili Porta i Galobart
He graduated in Architecture in 1915 and was appointed municipal architect of Berga on September 20, 1924.
He worked as a municipal architect for four decades.
