"El projecte de La Volta. De la tradició a la innovació"
With the support of

The exhibition of the 4th Edition of the Barcelona Architecture Exhibition continues its tour across the Library Network of the Barcelona Provincial Council, and this month it can be visited at the Horta-Can Mariner Library in the Horta-Guinardó district.
This exhibition, the result of a competition launched in 2021 by the Barcelona Branch, presents in a playful and flexible way the various projects submitted to the “Samples of Catalan Architecture” programme, in this case the 4th edition in Barcelona, displayed on a series of panels installed in the different modules that make up the exhibition, inviting visitors to interact as they discover the exhibited material.
The material is displayed in different wooden modules: a combination of boxes and filing units that allow for different degrees of content visibility. This system also enables the creation of a narrative thread in the exhibition’s staging, adapting to each space by allowing different configurations. Accessibility criteria have been carefully considered, approached from a broad and inclusive perspective.
The exhibition, designed by Salvestudio (formed by Jordi Quetglas and Mireia Costa), is quick and easy to assemble while minimising packaging materials, with the exhibition module itself becoming the container for the exhibited material. Produced under the direction of Salvestudio at the Estudi Ferran Sendra carpentry workshop in Cornellà de Llobregat, led by architect Ariadna Sendra, the project also aims to highlight the added value and business innovation of industries that invest in architecture and architects.
